Specialty Lending Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years Commercial Lending with minimum of 5 years of SBA Lending and 3 to 5 years of secondary market experience
- Formal credit training required
- Must be detail oriented and possess verbal and numeric aptitudes as well as the ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in written communication
- Extensive knowledge of government guaranteed products, credit policy, processes and procedures
- Must have SBA/California State Guarantee portfolio management, servicing and document origination experience.
- NAGGL/NADCO Certification a plus
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage SBA Team members and recruiting staff – be a true “Player/Coach” by leading and participating in guiding loans through the pipeline from application through funding.
- Underwrite new Conventional loan products
- Underwrite new SBA guaranteed loan products, primarily 7a and 504 loans following the Bank’s lending policy and procedures, SBA guidelines and general prudent lending practice.
- Underwrite new State guaranteed loan products
- Perform financial and ratio analysis on collected financial information to evaluate financial condition/capacity of each applicant.
- Review real estate appraisal, environmental studies and business valuation to analyze collateral adequacy.
- Prepare a comprehensive credit memo on each loan request for presentation to proper approval authority.
- Monitor and service existing loan portfolio.
- Prepare and update daily, weekly and monthly administrative reports
- Promote and cross sell the Bank’s services and products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist the Sales Team on government guaranteed leads
